Just last year I sold my first set of turntables and mixer to my good friend and brother Thomas. Since then he has graduated medical school and is now called Dr. Oden, doing his residency in N.O.. The peculiar thing is that at some point during the rigorous demands of med. school he found time to practice DJing (per a couple of my helpful tips and lessons...[pat on my own back]...vain, so what, I did) and 12 months later, maybe even sooner, he was able have a nightclub/lounge jumping. He was always a musician so I knew it wouldn't take long for him to grasp the art form, but his music selections in his blends comes just as natural as the "morning wood". He's like one of those people in college and high school that never really had to study and still got "A's" on the test...unfortunately I didn't have this superpower.
